Assessment of the public policy influence on housing affordability
Abstract
The article provides tools for calculation the level of housing affordability. With the help of it we evaluate the effectiveness of various government policies on housing availability. Calculations show that the efficiency of municipal rental housing depends on the level of rents, and the cooperation between the government and building companies can get better effect than the using the subsidy policy.
