Study Of The Interrelationship Between Innovative Activities Of Russian Federation Regions And The Development Of Telecommunication Services

Abstract

The aim of the study was to study the relationship between the innovative development of the regions of the Russian Federation and the intensity of use of telecommunication services. The tasks include identifying the factors that determine the level and speed of innovative development of the regions of the Russian Federation, ranking the objects of study by key indicators, as well as analyzing the relationship between the innovative activity of the region and the volume of consumption of telecommunication services. The objects of the study are the regions of the Russian Federation and federal districts. The methodological apparatus of the study consists of analysis, classification, analogy and induction. The hypothesis considered in the article is that the intensity of use of telecommunication services and the innovative characteristics of the region are significantly dependent. Methodologically, this hypothesis will be considered through the analysis of economic, social and other indicators describing the efficiency of the region, as well as by identifying the relationships of the described indicators through paired correlation and multivariate regression analyses. The primary sample includes such indicators as the volume of innovative goods and the innovative activity of regions in the telecommunications services market, and the additional sample includes indicators of broadband Internet access and investment in digital technologies. The relevance of the work lies in identifying the correlation between the indicators of regional innovation with the intensity of use of telecommunications services. The measures proposed in the article make it possible to identify, within the framework of a single system, regions in which it makes sense to develop telecommunications infrastructure to improve the characteristics describing the innovative activity of the subject. In addition, based on the results of testing the hypothesis, an understanding of the cluster of telecommunications services necessary for the development of innovation in the conditions of the modern market should be formed.
